Ice driving in Sweden is an exhilarating motorsport experience where you pilot high-performance or rally-prepped cars across thick, professionally maintained sheets of frozen lakes.
The Experience and Environment
• The Setting: Conducted on vast, frozen lakes (such as Södra Lötsjön in Dalarna or Lake Hornavan in Swedish Lapland) surrounded by snow banks and pine forests.
• The Tracks: Features purpose-built circuits carved directly into the ice, including sweeping handling tracks, slalom courses, and dynamic doughnut/drift circles.
• The Technique: Focuses heavily on car control, teaching drivers how to manage weight transfer, induce and hold controlled drifts, and handle near-zero traction using specialized studded tires.

Itinerary
Day 1 – 1 February 2027
Some members of the group will be staying at the Hilton Garden Inn the evening before departure, in preparation for an early start on 2 February 2027.
Day 2 – 2 February 2027
Travel will be with British Airways from London Heathrow to Oslo Airport, Gardermoen. The outbound flight departs at 7:50am and arrives at 11:00am. The return flight is scheduled for 5 February 2027, departing at 3:10pm and arriving at 4:40pm. Please note that flights must be booked separately by each participant. We need to fly together to ensure we get our connect transfers.
On arrival, transfers to the hotel will be provided by Mercedes transporter. There will then be time to relax and explore.
Day 3 – 3 February 2027
Transport will again be provided by Mercedes to the lake, where professional tuition will take place before participants begin driving on the ice.
There will be four cars available each day, and participants will be paired with another member of the group. Driving will take place from 10:00am to 4:00pm, with lunch included.
Following the day’s activities, the group will return to the hotel to relax before dinner at 7:30pm.
Day 4 – 4 February 2027
The group will return to the lake for a second day of driving, this time using four different vehicles and again sharing with another member of the group.
Further tuition will be provided before participants have the opportunity to drive independently. The session will run from 10:00am to 4:00pm, after which the group will return to the hotel.
Day 5 – 5 February 2027
Subject to availability and timings, there may be an opportunity to go snowmobiling in the morning before departing for the airport at 10:00am. Please note that this activity would incur an additional cost.
